Tiara Yachts Groundbreaking

Holland, Michigan, USA – Construction has begun on the 300,000 sq. ft. expansion of Tiara Yachts’ manufacturing facility. The project is moving along smoothly and on-target to meet expected completion in early June of 2006.

The addition to the company’s headquarters was facilitated through solid earning growth and strong market share gains during the past several years. “We look forward to creating the foundation for more success in the years to come through the expansion of our headquarters in Holland, Michigan.” noted Bob Slikkers, President of Tiara Yachts.

The new plant space will allow the company to put all of Tiara Yachts’ manufacturing under one roof—creating an opportunity to leverage state of the art production systems and technologies. Most notably, the company will be incorporating robotics and expanded closed mold lamination processing (CMP) while leveraging their lean production systems knowledge.

“The most important outcome of our expansion will be our ability to better meet the needs of our customers.” Mr. Slikkers said. “We will be able to speed up our product development time and ensure our quality is unparalleled by anyone else in the industry.”

Tiara Yachts and Pursuit Fishing Boats are part of S2 Yachts, Inc. S2 Yachts, Inc. was founded in 1974 and is one of the oldest privately held boat manufacturers in the United States.
